Stop Ponographic Spam Mail

Nope. You could put in a fake email address, but then if you forget your password, you have no way of recovering it.

So, are these spam emails actually displaying porn pictures in the email body, or are they just supplying links to porn sites? Because if it's displaying pictures, you can probably mess with your email settings so that messages from info @ rubberslug.com do not display images or html. Real feedback doesn't display either, so that should block any nastiness from popping up automatically.

I like that idea Sensei. I would support that if it deterred spam like this. I was so mad that I received lots of these that I changed the site text on my gallery's homepage [it needed it anyway^^] and in the Feedback section. This week I have only received 1 of these emails every other day, but it still won't solve the problem. Klet, the emails contain a link and the hyperlinks to the photos seem valid but I don't click on them. One recent email stated, as i said earlier, "my submissions"... and then the link. TODAY'S email contained a link to soft porn PHOTOBUCKET images...which I also immediately tossed in the Trash bin. ~_~

Hmmm. Now [i]that's[/i] interesting. These mass-spam mailings seem to have been happening for most of '08. Now, as some people on RS may know, I've been changing my gallery layout once every couple of months since February (each layout emphasizes one of the crewmates from One Piece). Anyway, my layout changes involve me changing the text for my home page and all of my subpages (feedback, wishlist, etc.). I've only received one of these spam feedback messages. I wonder if there's any correlation in changing your site text and not receiving spam feedback? I don't know if there's any technological reason to support that, or if it's just a coincidence.

Of course, now that I've said I'm getting nothing, I'll end up with 500 a day. Which would throw my theory out the window.

Thought i would chuck in my 2 cents.
I haven't updated my gallery for awhile though about two weeks ago i got the first of these "spam messages" through rubberslug and have regularly got about one a day since.

Hey everyone

I thought id drop a line here and let everyone know that I have been getting these porn spam emails as well. I was getting them once a day however with in the past few days ive had about 5 a day...its really annoying :(
