Got my first CEL! PLEASE HELP.AM NERVOUS
thanks for your response everyone. I am probably going to leave it on. Would have loved the original matching background though. Do you guys know what the estimate i would need to spend to properly frame this cel?

Just to add on this clarification:
With sketches stuck to cels, yes I would work that sucker off and damage the sketch, as long as the cel came out okay. But backgrounds? They are less forgiving and flexable so I really wouldn't try to work them free.
Just wanted to make my position clear.

welcome rewindslash! :)
yeah being a newbie myself id say leave it on. lol
besides it looks real nice against the ice blue background. :)
as for framing, id ask how big is the piece? i have one that i want framed too (so far all of the pieces ive gotten are already framed except for one - i only have a few cells so thats why). i used to frame disney lithographs a few years ago (when the disney stores used to give out free lithographs with a video purchase) and they were about the same size as my cel i need to frame. a good quality frame ( made with archival glass and matting, etc) was about alittle over a hundred dollars. but ya know, it depends on the framer and what you want.
well, good luck and welcome again! :)

i got my cel in the mail today!!
SO BEAUTIFUL. I cant believe I was able to get such a quality piece. It has its natural flaws here and there but hey is vintage and an original production piece. Now I need to get it framed. Anybody have any good suggestions where i should get it done? I would like to frame it with the matching sketch.
hey amy the cel size is 10.5"x9"
is that standard?
thanks again for everyone that took the time to respond. you have shared a great moment with me!
