POLL: "Cel Forum"

Howdy.

When I created the 3 forums last night, I was thinking along the lines of an interactive help desk type thing for the actual site-building tools.

Here's my standpoint: there's at least two big cel forum things out there that are clean and well-administrated (is that a word?). My thinking is that the cel collectors don't really need another cel forum to divide an already small community of people.

However -- if this is a popular idea, then creating an additional forum takes 5 minutes. I just plop a new forum name in and it's ready to go.

Wasted space or useful resource? You make the call. Chime in on this thread if you're strongly opinionated on this one way or the other.

Thanks!

I know of both major cel collectors forums. However, I only use one of them. I use (in my opinion) the most important one. I don't think having another cel forum here would be of any good. Sorry. I DO think that this forum is very helpful, at least for the Rubberslug site. It's a good place to get ideas out, and discuss things (and not flood poor Jason with emails).

Wasted space or useful resource? I say wasted space... gomen :/

I'd have to agree. Please don't do it...It would not be worth the trouble...

It's not so much that I'm opinionated one way or the other but why shouldn't Rubberslug have a cels forum? I don't think it divides an already small community of people. If there were only 5 open galleries on Rubberslug, maybe but there are 225 currently. I look at a few forums and the same collectors seem to post on all of them, especially if there are items for sale, to get the word out. I don't see how one more would really hurt anyone and if no one wanted to use it, you could remove it, right?

Cel forums should not be monopolies. There should be as many as people feel like making, that way a handful of individuals can't control them. What could a few more hurt? I've had really bad experiences with forums but I still think there should be more than just the "main" ones. Other subjects on the internet have countless forums, why shouldn't the cel community?
