Advice on prospective cel

It looks to me like the "fuzzy" hand part you mentioned might be some dust or something like that between the layers. It's hard to tell, though, as the seller hasn't provided the best picture. If it is dust and the layers are firmly stuck together, it might not be possible to remove it. If the layers are not completely stuck, you may be able to lift part of the top layer to remove the dust. Although, if it was me, I would NOT chance that, considering the age of the cel. I would be too afraid of damaging it.

All in all, I agree with what others have said. It's a nice cel -- very dynamic image, and I think it looks good for its age. I don't know much about the movie you said the cel was from, but isn't artwork from that film rather rare? If so, the "rare" factor more than makes up for the few small flaws that have been pointed out so far. It's pretty hard to find any cel in pristine condition, particularly not for a production this old. ^.^

If you still feel uncomfortable about this purchase, even after the wonderful advice given to you by some of Rubberslug?s best and brightest, you can always ask the seller for either a scan or sectioned off, closer pictures of the item as this could help you to make your final, informed decision.

Best wishes, ~K

Hello Kleer,

That is a very nice cel for your first one.
Just so you know that cel is oversized it's like a 14 or 15 field cel,Most anime show cels are 11 or 12 field you can think of it like this 1 field = 1 inch or so.
Welcome to the wonderful world of cels!
