Deputy service: Otaku ya :(

Hello

I want to share with you my bad experience with Otaku ya, a deputy service. I found this site in this forum because i was looking for a cheaper deputy service.

Many of you in this forum wrote that Otaku ya was a good deputy service, not very expensive and there were no troubles with them. So i decided to try this company.

I have to admit their commission fees are low. However you have to pay in US dollar when you make a transaction whereas with other deputy service you have to pay in yen. The exchange rate they practice is not advantageous at all for customers and moreover they increase the price of the shipping cost (yahoo japan seller to them)pretexting their commission fees were low.

Ok they are fast and there is a quick answer when you sent them an email. However they do not have a good commercial attitude. Indeed i won an Akira cel at a very good price and they lost the item and told me they throw it away with garbage. So i sent them a very polite email to tell them i was very disapointed to lose a cel of this quality and ask them if they can make a commercial gesture by offering me the shipping cost to my country for my other cels. They did not answer to this email, consequently i have to send them another. I received a cold message from them telling me i should pay shipping cost and that's it.

What do you think about it? Is there other people who had the same pb as mine?

Sorry for my bad english ...i come from France^^

Most of the "major" deputy services (Celga, Rinkya, SMJ) requiere you to pay in USD, and they all have exchange rates that are scewed in their favor.

That sucks that they lost your cel, though. I've never had a deputy service lose my cels, but I know others have. Usually they get found.

They should completely refund your money in my opinion. THREW A CEL AWAY?! Disgusting!

Hmmmm, who was the jp seller? Getting a feeling it was me. I ship it in a plastic case...so throwing it out seems odd. Unless it broke.
