Ebay: my small dillema

Thanks guys, the situation is that I'm the buyer and the seller has had my payment since Dec. 28th. After e-mailing this person about my item being shipped yet, the response was:

"Paypal.com doesn't email me when people send payment, so unless I am expecting payment from someone I usually don't check my pp account. Most of my bidders contact me after they have sent payment so I know it was sent. Your item will ship tomorrow."

So they assumed I would e-mail them saying I've sent payment and I suppose I assumed they would know I paid becuase, not only did they require payment with in 10 days of auction end, but I thought they'd receive something from paypal and/or ebay about the payment.

Whether or not payment notification was sent from e-bay or paypal, I think she should have checked the auction within 10 days and seen it was payed even then, but apparently not.

I'm glad to hear your item will be coming too you soon now. Still I find it strange that the seller didn't notice the little highlighted icon on eBay showing that you've made payment or the seller didn't even notice some mysterious extra funds being deposited into their paypal account. :P

I have received an e-mail every time someone pays with paypal. But I also look on my ebay page(I usually delete those e-mails) to see who has paid because a little $ icon appears when they do. The seller will receive a e-mail like this(this is from one of my auctions I did a month or two ago)
