I'm sorry to hear the situation has taken a turn for the worse. Just try to spend every possible moment you can with him. Treasure the time you have.

Matt, My heart and prayers go out to your grandfather and also to you!
Please don't be sad your grandfather would not like you to be unhappy for him.
Spend some time with him when you can and try to make him happy.
And remember part of him will always be with you in your heart and soul.
