Otakon was lots of fun.

It was also great to meet fellow Beta/RS members at the cel gathering & to see their collections in person; Thanks to Deanna for organizing it.

I still need to scan my new acquisitions in. I will do it once I have caught up on some sleep.

But, I like everyone to show the beauties they were able to pick up at Otakon, if any.

I agree: many kudos to Deanna for a great climax to Otakon. I also enjoyed seeing Takashi Nakamura's ambitious film \\A Tree of Palme,\\ the last major studio project to use cel-based animation, as well as a bit of \\Saiyuki.\\ And the heavy-metal devil-worship J-pop band was a lot of fun, though the 12-mile hike to and from the convention center was a chore.

And, yes, I got goodies! Check out especially the \\Saiyuki\\ gengas, of which Curt had an especially good selection:

I've already mentioned this on another forum, but I had already spent more than was good for me by the time I got to Otakon. ^_^; Good thing I didn't see anything I just had to have. starlightx, it was great to see you and have a chance to look through your collection. Hope I didn't put you through too much trouble with my requests of thing I wanted to see. ^_^;

Sensei, sorry I didn't make it all over that far at Slugfest. I tried to hit some people's collections I hadn't seen before, and it seems like I've run into you at least 3 times this year. ^_- BTW, be warned, collecting from VPM is a slippery slope!!!

Robert, it was great meeting you & see your wonderful cels; especially the Shamanic Princess ones.

No, it wasn't too much trouble going through you huge request. Well maybe a little, that cel book was so dam heavy. :) But seriously I really didn't mind cause I enjoy sharing my collection with others & it was nice to see what other people are interested in seeing.

Until next year or the next the con.
