Sorry for the double post, but I just wanted to throw in a sidenote in regards to taking a closer look on games designed for the teen age group.

I wouldn't fault you and your roommates on attempting to do so on fiction created for that age group in general. Much of the literature "greats" wrote for that age group directly, and not only is literary dissection routine, but absolutely manditory in higher literature courses.

But that is not to imply that Grandia II is among the "greats" of its genre. Just that the act of analyzing younger reader entertainment in general isn't a faulty or an unorthodox school of thought.
