When you're alone in Live Chat ---

Ok, every time I come onto RS, I glance around the home page. Often, I'll see that just a single person is listed as being in Live Chat.

I can't take it no more! What does a person do alone in there? Are there a row of virtual game machines to help pass the time, or digital vending machine, or even anime Muzak?

And for how long do you stay in there if you're alone?

I could be wrong here, but I think it's a quirk of the chat software. I'm pretty sure that when the last person leaves the room, the main page still shows them as in there. Then if another person logs in, it kicks the first person's name off the screen and the second is now listed, even after they leave.

That being said, I'm sure there are times when somebody really is in there all by themselves. Maybe they just want a place to go for some quiet time. You never know.

Fun somedays too.
Maybe if you're really nice to me, I'll show you the video games. ~_^
I used to leave nonsensical stuff in there for the next person to read in their boredom.

It's a convenient way of knowing how many people want to speak to you. ^_^

I agree with what everyone has said so far. Seems to be a minor glitch that doesn't take the person's name off when they leave the chat when they are the only one in there. It usually happens during the late night/early morning, but there are times throughout the day when there is absolutely no one in chat. Generally I forget the window is open (since I mainly multi-task when I'm in the chatroom), so when I go back to the chat I'm the only one in there. Sometimes I sit there and wait for more names to come in so we can chat. ^__^
