Error message uploading backgrounds
The last couple times I've tried to upload backgrounds into the high-res shared gallery, I've gotten a popup window with an error message saying that the file size was greater than the maximum allowed - but the backgrounds show up in the gallery anyway.
The backgrounds have been in the 450-600KB size range. Should I be making them smaller?
Hmmmmm no idea. Is it possible that the files that are being uploaded are corrupt in someway and reporting an incorrect file size?
I'm in the middle of moving right now so I haven't been able to pay much attention to breaking things, but I'll try to add this to the list. Feel free to remind me about it later via e-mail if I don't manage to get to it sometime in the next two weeks.
I don't know; how would I tell if the files were corrupt? The file size does seem to be the same on my computer and in the Rubberslug gallery.
Are you using long filenames? I had some problems when I went too descriptive with names and shortened them a bit and it worked fine.
Or just try the next day, sometimes the uploading acts a little strange one day and is fine the next.
The file names have been pretty short - no more than 13 characters long in the last batch.
The weird thing is that I get an error message, but the backgrounds show up in the gallery anyway. I'll probably try uploading a couple more in the next few days, so I'll see if I get the same message then.
