When you work with Otaku-ya you do the bidding or they do it for you?

You email them the auction and the amount you are willing to bid. They do all the bidding on YJ, do all the dealing with the Japanese seller, receive the item, repackage it, then send it to you.

They apparently check their email every couple of minutes during regular business hours (in Japan) and every 5 minutes otherwise. I've never had them miss an auction or not place a bid, and I've emailed them at all times of day.

to be honest, that is the only service i used. they sent me a message on ebay a couple of years ago and that is when i even realized you could get stuff from japan. ive only recently used them for cels, i was buying alot of Battle Royale II merchandise and cosplay clothes... haha They are very nice, and so far from what ive seen have the lowest prices. I love the combining shipping though... and combine all orders if they are made on the same day and seller. it saves me a TON of money. ^_^

This company also does Deputy service/Proxy bid, and they are handling large items as well (Car parts, Japanese furniture, machinery etc):

With the advent of Paypal use in Japan, I think we will be seeing more and more deputies pop up besides the Big 3 (Rinkya, SMJ, Celga).
