The case of the "mystery update"

I have noticed a while back that if I close my gallery and then upload an image in a directory, delete the "new image" and re-open my gallery it will appear as a "real update" although I had since eliminated the image from my site (and sights ^-^). It might be a little annoying to the observer that ..."strangely" there was nothing seen in this "new update". This will of course generate false hits to my web page I guess, but more than that it may also, I am afraid, create a form of the "backlash". >;< (*ouch!*)
It is like inheriting, "The boy that cried Wolf !!"--syndrome. After a few times (sometimes even once oline!) you may not make the same "mistake" again by taking the time to examine this "liars update page". Please believe me, I would never do this just to say "Hey, look at me!!,.. I'm alive!! I am not that deperate for page hits ^-^....(*cough,..cough,..not yet anyway*)
Now of course you should ask , "Why would I upload an image while my gallery is closed only to delete it upon opening?" It is a valid question. So, I will try to explain, this "oddity". Well, sometimes for me before I actually buy certain cels I will compare them to my present collection first! I will download an image, crop it, sized it (Using Photoshop) simulating a scanned cel and then upload it to my gallery. I do all of this just to image whether it will "fit-in" with what I have now, and in what order, etc...kinda like interior decorating. Of course since I have swiped this image it would not be just for me to show the image "publicly". It would also do no good to keep it on my "coming soon" section either since I have yet not committed to fully buying it. Am I weird? ^-^--- Maybe, but this is the process I go through sometimes before I actually attempt to own a cel. I usually type a warning afterwards in my "news section" about the false update to avoid negative feelings (I hope) from the person(s) that had anticipating "something" new that stopped by only to be dismayed at the same ol-stuff. But just recently I didn`t post, having forgot about it until I took a look at the update page. I cried "Wolf!!" it seems ... ^-^
I know Jason is loaded to the gills with "this and that", fix and change, etc. So, I didn't post it in the new features or help lists.
And I won`t even ask if anything can be changed, but just be aware that this "contagious disease" of false alarming your neighbors with a false update could also happen to you! ^-^ (he, he),, BEWARE of the "Invisible Cel"!!! It's coming soon to a theatre near your town...

I *really* hope this turn into a clicking contest. The new gallery searches have galleries ranked by hits, among other sorting methods. We'll see.
