What is it that Grabs you most?

It's definitely about my favorite character and scene...and most definitely I desire the most memorable cels of that character...aka the expensive ones! And actually I am always quite attracted to cels that you never see online. I will desire a cel that I have never seen yet when all of a sudden there are a couple floating around it kind of loses it's sparkle for me. Those rare beauties are what I marvel at the most in fellow collectors galleries. Anywho...probably the best example of the cel I am talking about is a Cooan henshin cel from Sailor Moon that has long been on my wishlist. I have only ever seen two from that sequence, one of which was up for $1,000, and neither are online at this time:
Its all about finding "the" scene that personifies my favorite character doing exactly what it is that makes them so much fun to watch.
110% agree with transmet on his answer. I love finding cels from scenes that define my favorite characters. Moreso when the scenes are defining the characters in the way I personally see them ^_^

An example of a cel that I adore for its depiction of one of my favorite characters is here:

A lot of what I'm looking for I'm not sure exists. So my wantlist consists of only "characters" and "anime titles".

But out of the few "specific" items I'm looking for, they are mainly - my favorite characters in my favorite scenes. I most desire artwork from emotional scenes, but those pieces are few and far between. :(

I'd say drama more than anything else: a cel is an image in action, and I like cels that show something just as it happens. The joy is doubled when I know the series and episode well, and so I can say exactly what it is that's going on. And if it's a pan or an end key or something else, then I'm even happier.

I've been lucky enough to catch several wishlists, to the point that my posted wishlist is seriously in need of revision. Here's one among many:

The
end key in a sequence in which Meilin (one of my favorite CCS characters) decks The Fight. I gasp every time I see it: color, action, composition, personality, it has it all.

(In fact, it has so much that this scene provoked The New York Times to run a front-page feature on how violent Japanese anime like Cardcaptors could have crippling psychological effects on little girls who watched it ... so follow the url at your own risk, kiddos.)

I like closeups with personality that take up most of the cel or odd perspective in cels.

Rarely do I look for a particular cel scene.. I mostly look for something that is visually appealing to me when I find it.
