Experience with S/R labs

has anyone tried out S/R labs? i'm interested in getting some of my higher end cels restored and framed and the place sounds good but i'm still sort of leary about entrusting my cels to some company in california that i don't really know about...

anyone know cel restoration places in or near new york city?

I've used SR Labs to separate stuck sketches to some prime CCS OP cels and they did a wonderful job. Also, I had them do some cleaning and touch up work on a hanken cel. I currently, have another hanken and a second CCS OP cel with them for framing and touch up. All the work I previous had them do was done superbly and professionally. One thing, be prepared to wait a while to have any work done. They do a lot of professional work with other animation clients. If you have questions, just call Ron Stark, he'll be glad to talk to you. Or if you are going to AX 2006, I've asked him to come to the cel panel to talk about animation art conservation.

It would be nice to know of a place that did that around NYC. If I ever come across anything I'll let you know. ^_^
