Links section

I would like to see a section within the Rubberslug site where links can be placed.

Since this is a very big community of cel collectors thre must also be a lot of knowledge about (online) cel dealers.
I know that there is the "Internet guide to anime cels" (http://www-scf.usc.edu/~ckawakam/cels/) but it has some dead links and it's not complete either.

An added value of creating such a list is that this community can add comments and remarks to the links/dealers if they have done business with them.
And even better would be if for every dealer could be listed from which movies/series/etc they carry cels. I know this information is hard to keep up to date but there are a lot of cel dealers who always have cels in stock from certain anime or who are specialised in certain anime.

Well comments about dealers tend to range all over the place at times, and many people have different experiences sometimes that do not reflect the true overall nature of the "business" being conducted. It is a touchy subject to rate dealers. Soemtimes it is a case by case situation. But there are the occassional goof-balls and at the other end of the spectrum great dealers too that need to be known about. So, you do have a valid point. But to keep a static list, hmmm maybe controversial. Just my opinion.

"Added value?"

Of course there are lists and links from many different places where you can find dealer information that make mention of the "type" of cels/anime and general information that a dealer specializes in (Cels.org for example has such a list). Some of the fun about cel collecting is searching out that information for yourself. Some collectors are wary of informing everyone about their cel resources or connections anyway and the "specific" type of anime, etc. I don't think you'll find much information beyond the basic generic lists that are already available elsewhere. In general people tend to want to keep down the competition in a very competitive hobby, unless that is you'd like those type of links and addresses already available to be duplicated here. Then of course, if you like to compile that information yourself and present it, then it could be come available and presented here as a "resource" quite possibly as an item here. Go for it!

I think that someone mentioned creating a comprehensive "Wishlist" site for dealers to see here, etc. but that is a different thread...

Anyway, if you have that kind of time to catergorize that type of information (a lot!) more power to you! Good luck...
