Cleaning cels?

Thanks for the information, everyone ^_^

The cel in question is a one layer cel and the sticky paper stuff is stuck on top of the cel(there's no paint on top of this particular cel), so I'll have to employ these methods.

I used to use kitchen paper to take off tape marks and finger prints- gently rub the mark under light until it disapears. Seemed to work fine for moi.

Setsumei,
You need to be real careful using paper towels, Some of them have been made with recycled cardboard and some have bits of sand, glass, foil and lots of other things in them that will scratch your cels very bad.
It's best to use a soft cotton cloth that has been washed a few times because fresh new cotton is kind of stiff and needs the washings to soften it up some.
Don't use old socks they tend to have sand in them and it can not all be washed out.
I have found over the years the inside of a cotton T-shirt works very well for removing finger prints.
The small package of alcohol pads you find in first aid kits is very useful for removing stuck on glue and tape goo,Just make sure you remove as much alcohol from the pad as you can before you use it ,This keeps extra cleanup to a min.
If needed use distilled water for final clean up if you need to remove any film left over.
