Dual Accounts and Joint Cels
Hey,
I just wanted to ask a quick question.
I just got my boyfriend into cel collecting, but I don't want to put his cels into my gallery (hey, they're his, he has the right to put them into his own gallery to get credit for them, right?), which isn't the issue.
The potential problem is this; we have joint owned cels.
Are there any rules for this? Can we both display the same cel (perhaps with mentioning that we both own it?) or is this just verboten?
I tried hunting (quickly, I admit this, I'm at work and meant to search more in depth last night) for an FAQ but I can't seem to locate one at the moment to see if that might answer my question before appearing like an idjit and asking this question.
If we can't display jointly, no biggie *g* I'll just display them in my gallery and tell him to bugger off *snicker*
Thanks! :)
I don't see anything wrong with you both posting them in your respective galleries. Technically, you own cel A and he owns cel A. ^_~ I would mention it in the description, though.
Just go ahead and do it. Jason and co. aren't tyrants--if there's something wrong with you both posting the cel, I'm sure they would give you the benefit of the doubt and email you a warning before doing anything drastic. ^_^
I agree with what Klet said, it shouldn't be a problem as you both technically own the cel... just as long as you mention it, i imagine it to be fine.
Anyway I hope your BF enjoys his stay here!
No problem. It is only a concern, when you have two galleries yourself with the same stuff in them, but just different web page designs,,err... I know it sounds dumb, but I've eliminated so many galleries that had up to 3 duplicates.. I guess people like to experiment~
Now, there are exceptions, with two galleries. For example, in rare cases, someone has an American animation collection and a Japanese anime collection, that they wish to separate. Or one collection that has a thousand cels from one series, and 1 or two from others, etc.
We don't promote this kind of activity, because it is almost like showing off. But we understand it when the genre are so far apart, and some people at the same time are very creative and convincing "in their beliefs".
I was probably the strictest moderator a while ago and if it got past me without getting zapped, it was probably okay (*winks). I have since, become more tolerant (*hiccups).
Thanks ya'll for the FYIs and such :)
I'm not sure if he's going to want to create a RS site for himself, but I wanted to ask just in case so he has the option.
Thanks E for such a fast response too!! YOWZA! :) Talk about fast service :)
I'll definately be putting it into my gallery listings so I can remember. :)
