Why oh why do we collect these cels of doom? (wallet doom that is!)

I want to know these following questions and let us know the truth! XD

Just thought I would ask. It is interesting to know why everyone collects and do what they do in this hobby :D Let the answers comince!

Here is mine :P

1. Sailor Moon of course XD

2. Mamo-chan oo;... drool worthy

3. Why am I addicted? I think it is awesome to own an actual peice of the show you have cried over, laughed and watched a million times. Immortalizing the screen shot you rewind just to see again, a sexy glance of a bishie or important scenes!

4. My most prized cel to date is my Chibi Mamoru that everyone was so sweet to let me know about :D you guys rock! (sorry no link yet LOL)

5. I started collecting when I was on ebay one day and saw a auction for a "Sailor Moon Production Cel" I didnt know what the heck that was but I looked anyway. Then I read the description and said to myself "well thats cool" so I bid on it and got it. When I received it, I was hooked >D

Okay so here are my thoughts...if memory serves me.
1. Sailor Moon, I didn't even know it was an anime when I first watched it.
2. I liked Mamoru from Sailor Moon but my first love had to be Tamahome from Fushigi Yuugi. Dreamy...
3. My family is a bunch of collectors. And I just got this addicting gene. My wallet hates me.

5. My dad would show me his cels ever since I was four and from then on I always wanted one. When I figured out I could buy anime cels I jumped on the chance. I started collecting about 8 years ago after spending 6 months trying to find out how to buy sm cels. Kind of hopeless back then.

Here it goes:

1. My first anime was either Sailor Moon or Pokemon. I can't quite remember.

2. Mamoru from Sailor Moon, but to be more specific Prince Endymion.

3. I guess I'm addicted because I have always collected something. When I was smaller it was rocks. Then when I had actual money it was disney cards, then it progressed to Marvel cards, then it just moved into cels. I don't think I'll get out of this phase of collecting anytime soon though.

5. How did you start collecting? My sister. <- evil
She introduced me to anime beyond the cartoon network stuff and then one day showed me her cels from Rayearth. I was in awe. Before that time I knew about cels, but they were Disney cels...expensive Disney **seri**-cels. Then she told me what she paid for her cels. The only thought after that was 'I want one!', and the funny thing was that I could afford one (and I didn't even have much money back then). But it didn't stop there. After my first one arrived, I started liking anime more and more. Thus, the confused moogle was born and its pom-poms (cels) were gathered and posted on RS.

Hmm...this will take some serious thought!

5. I was on eBay looking up InuYasha stuff and stumbled across a cel for auction. I didn't know what a cel was, so I looked into it and thought it would be fun to own one. Now I have, like, a million it seems!!! *_*
