Changing Info Display (Sketches: 0)

Is there a way to change the way the sketch information is displayed with the cels, or perhaps have it not appear at all if there are no sketches?

A lot of my cels don't have sketches, but instead of displaying "Sketches: 0" (to match "Sketches: 2" and so on like it says on the other pages) or just leaving it out entirely (like it does when you don't input cost and other information), it displays "No sketches available" -- punctuated and capitalized exactly like that.

This is COMPLETELY minor, but it jumps out at me because I'm a freak for consistency, as well as a teacher (so incomplete sentences / wavering capitalization schemes make me a little distracted).

I also find the "Standard size" comment to be distracting for the same reasons, but at least in that case I can just mark it as oversized and then input standard dimensions to force the formatting. There's no way to input a 0 for sketch numbers, though, and I don't want to unput a random number because -- unlike with the oversize notation, where you can enter dimensions to clarify what size it really is -- saying I have 1 sketch when I don't is really misleading.

I'm pretty amazed at the system, though. Very well done on the whole -- easy to use, lots of ways to customize, and efficient! I look forward to opening up my gallery in the future, though it may take me a while! What a fun and generous project Rubberslug is for fans!

RS is a ongoing work in progress, Jason is improving it all the time for the better.
I feel we all need to thank him more for his hard work and for the wonderful site he has made for us from scratch and bits and pieces he has put together.
Once more welcome to the site and enjoy yourself here!

Lizzard!! I'm so glad you're getting started on a gallery! I can't wait to see your lovelies again! ^_^

Hmmm . . . it never bothered me with my own entries, but now that I think about it, saying "No sketches available" does seem a little strange to me. When I look at other galleries, I'm always wondering if the gallery owner really doesn't have any sketches, or if he just didn't have the time to type the number in. A lot of people consider the sketch secondary to the cel, so they will not give any information about it. It's kind of ironic that a lot of these same people have started to collect genga/layouts/etc. from some of the newer shows.

I think it would be a nice change, and would make it a little easier to know exactly what someone has, though I can imagine that that isn't the reason you brought it up. ^_^

Just so that you know, Lizzard, if you do put anything into the condition, supplier, cost, or purchase date slots, that information will automatically become "hidden." In other words, viewers would need to know your gallery password in order to see any of that information. Your gallery password is different from your login password. You can also make certain items hidden, or password protect your larger scans or your sketches.

Good luck!

Lizzard!! YAY!

I'm such a dope. I always put a "0" in when I have no sketch ... and I never noticed that it said "No sketches available", instead of "Sketches: 0". >.<

*wanders off, feeling like a dope*
