Battle Angel Alita apparently looking for an athletic unknown female (gee, wonder why) and will begin principal photography in spring 2006.

Side Observation #1: What the world needs is a good Asian sword fight movie where they use computers to make some talented kids (national kendo champion, Olympian from California, etc.) move just a bit faster. Six weeks of wire-assisted acrobatics and strength training will never, ever make an untrained actor somehow qualified to do this stuff. Computers are only as good as the animators so the same thing applies. To draw a good punch, you basically have to be able to throw a good punch. (hint: arms close, use your legs)

Side Observation #2: Those Gunm cels? Hang onto them. By winter 2007 they might be priceless.

Too late for me, but I agree with the premise of that statement. I don't regret selling mine since, I've had the opportunity to make good use of the proceeds for another "investment". But, if I get rich in the next year, I'll be begging people to resell them to me, at a very good profit margin (my sinister plan revealed!)
