For the Geek-n-you

I thought that jn would especially appreciate this:

...and
all of the rest of you programmer types, or not.

I heard about the software development movie. Sounded like a really bad idea for a documentary, but hey, everyone's a documentary film maker these days.

Software is less like making movies and more like making sausage. I've never made a movie before, so making movies might also be a lot like making sausage.

I wanna see a documentary about spyware and/or hack for money... and the people who fight back. That would probably be a bit more fun. There's a lot of evil in software ranging from insidious to hilarious. But who knows? Maybe this film is good too.

??? Way past me, but ah..

Sounds a lot like a programming "thang" to me, either way you cut it.

I've made sausage and I've watched movies being made. The only similarities I find is that you do the same thing over and over again you generally get the same results. With sausage that is a good thing, if it tastes good the first time it will taste good there after. With movies if it was good the first time, it won't necessarily be good the next 7 takes.
I think it would be fun to see the hilarious evil software being made, but I'll have to wait for it to show up on IFC documentary Mondays.

Not sure if this is the original quote, but this is the best I could come up with in five minutes.
