Level 3/COgent problems
"Right now he's removing all the safeties from his weapons. He won't make that mistake again."
We're going to focus on some sort of (reasonably) high availability plan for the network. As it is right now, I'm never really quite sure exactly *when* or *why* the site goes down. The incidents in the past week -- the first being the fault of the data center's dead fibre relay and the second being the fault of a bunch of ISPs having a legal hissy fit -- are making it painfully obvious that I'm doing a lot of guessing everytime something bad happens.
As I mentioned before though, Rubberslug and related projects (the underlying sitebuilding system, specifically) are going to be receiving the bulk of my attention over the next few months. I hope.
Thanks a bunch for posting this, though, as otherwise I'd have no idea why the site "magically" fixed itself.

So that explains it. I could get in fine from home but not from work. Me being the paranoid person I am, I wondered if maybe they found out I was going to RS too much on work time and blocked it somehow. Thanks for the post Ted.

This in and out thing with the net is getting real old,I wish the two sides would just fix it and get on with there lives.
Now I can get the site to me but not sent to it,Strange.
Trying to upload to the site is hit and miss now.
Anybody else thinking "law suit" time?
These ISP's have to much power over our lives and how we work online,To many owners making to much money on our backs and this how they show what they think of us out here in the real world.
Theres a place in Hell for these folks thats for sure!!!

Nah, with the money they make, I bet they can bribe God into letting them in in heaven..
