Thumbnail link question...

I want to make a 'coming soon' section for my gallery. I've seen where others have a section like this but there are only thumbnails of the cels present. The way they set it up is to where there is no link to the thumbnail to click on which would take you to a larger pic of that cel. So all you have for viewing is a list of thumbnail images on that sections main page. How is this done? Thanks for the help!
