More Chibi-Suggestions!

Just a couple of things I want to make note on, if only because I can. :)

First, I like having the ability to note when a cel is purchased, but I don't necessarily like having to choose an *exact* date. Like, I can remember what year I bought most of my cels, and in some cases what month, but I very rarely remember the exact day I purchased a cel. Not that it necessarily matters all that much, but when I don't remember it just sits on a default of the first of January, 1990, and that I don't like, so I was wondering if we could choose to enter JUST a year, or JUST a year and a month, and not have to put a year, day, and month. Or choose not to enter a date at all.

The other one is the over-sized thing. I have over-sized cels but I don't particularly want to go to the trouble to measure them all, so I just have them labeled as regular sized. (It won't allow me to label a cel as over-sized without entering the dimensions of the cel in the box provided)

Of course, I could just guess-timate on these features but I'm picky about having accurate information or no information at all.

Anyway, just suggesting. I hope I'm not sounding TOO nit-picky! @_@ I still really love this site the way it is regardless. :D

Hmmm... all good points. It is kinda annoying to have to point out in every description, "no, this wasn't actually purchased on January 1, 1990, but this is as close as I get."

However, the trouble comes down to asking, "did they enter a day, a year, but not a month?" and other such tiresome special cases to validate information. Waaaaay too much trouble.

The oversize cel measurement thing is a horrible, horrible mind-numbing stat quiz. I realized this when I put a few cels in a while ago and was similarily bothered enough to scrounge up a ruler and find the cel and measure it.

Yes, this must change. I could tell a customer-service fib and say that it's top priority -- but the reality is that there's much larger issues at stake (like my current one -- trying to separate 30k images into separate user directories).

For now, just guess. Or heck, just lie. Lying is kinda fun when you get good at it. "Why, no, I wasn't boozing at a minor league ice hockey game, I was working on this site!"

Clearly, I have much to learn.
