So I got a few cels...

Hi!

I just received several cels (finally!) that came with unstuck original background. That's all good but I want the cels to stay at one spot so they don't move around. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I want the cels to get stuck(?) on the background so it stays at the appropriate spot. I hope I'm making sense. Is there a way to do that except taping the cels over the background?

Thanks!

Here's what I do when I want to display a cel and matching background together "properly":

Trim a cel bag to exactly fit the cel (without the cel in it, of course, to avoid accidentally cutting the cel!) so you can get rid of the tape seam (which might show against the background). Put the background in a large cel bag and place the cel in its bag on top where you want it to line up. Tape the two cel bags together.

Easy enough to undo if you want to later, and no tape on either the cel or the background!

That's a great idea! Thanks! ^_^

Hello Jason,

You can use whats called framers tape or two sided matte tape also, It is clear and see though. And most of all removable.
But do put the cel in a cel bag so the grit from the background does not scratch your cel.
You can see this as a frosting on the cels that have been on a background for a long time, not a good thing.
good luck.
