my spurs tickets haiku

I can sympathise with you I had a very similar experience only a few weeks ago.

I support West Ham United and this season we managed to get into the Coca Cola championship play off finals (whoever won got promoted to the Premier league with an estimated 20million GBP revenue increase that goes along with it)The tickets went on sale at 9:30am, I got back to from work at 2:30pm and tried to order a ticket online only to find our allocation of 33,000 tickets had already sold out (boo-hoo).
Within days they were selling on ebay for 300GPB, "NO!" I thought I'm gonna miss out on the biggest game we have had for about 20 years.
Luckily I managed to get hold of a ticket for about 50GBP, unluckily it was in the oppositions end of the ground (i just kept my head down when we scored, no leaping around like a madman for me that day cos I would have got a right kickin). We won the match and I had one of the best nights celebrating I've had in a long time.

So hold out and keep your fingers crossed you never know what could happen dude.

Or to put it another way

To Cardif I went
Was fifty pounds that I spent
How drunk did I get.
