-Rinkya Friends-

I've had my profile on Rinkya Friends for several months but it's not got me far. I've not signed up because I think the fees are expensive but it's a nice idea. The people who have contacted me haven't stayed in touch- perhaps I scared them off?! heh

It largely seems to be a place for finding penpals to practice Japanese/English with and that's not for me.

I am a Japanese from Japan and I think I can at least speak Engrish :P :P (or Japangrish???) so I really do not need to practice (and I have my hubby who speaks mainly English anyway :P :P)

But one main reason why I wanted to join is to find Japanese friends ;_; (I am a mathematician so I really do not have a place to meet Japanese friends..... sob sob.....). this sounds not a place to find Japanese friends as well.... ^^;; sob sob...

Kittens, I think that you could find many Japanese friends on this website if you're willing to pay the monthly Rinkya fee and start sending emails to people.

There are a lot more members worldwide now than when they first started Rinkya Friends at the end of last year.
I think the largest group of members are Japanese and they would love to hear from you.
If you want male and female friends of any age, this opens up the possibilities- you can't loose! :)

I'm looking for more specific contacts and only in my experience, it hasn't been too successful so far.
