S/H Charge for Donations

Hello, I wanted to make a site donation but when I clicked on the "Paypal Donate" banner-button and started going through with the process, I noticed that in addition to my donation, I was being charged $4.95 for shipping and handling?

I didn't go through with the donation transaction because I'm not sure what to do. Are we required to pay this additional $4.95 on top of what we are donating? Or can we just subtract it from the amount we are donating so that it exactly meets either the $10, $20, or $50 level?

yeah, subtract that stupid shipping and handling thing. I still have to fix that. Argh. I'll try to look at it again tonight. It's stupid Paypal, they changed something with the form submission.

Yep it is a weird Pay Pal bug. If you want to donate either subtract the stupid shipping charge from the total amount or log in under your own account and send money with the subject of Rubberslug to the orchidflux email addy. Jason has tried to fix this but with no success.

After much hand-wringing and pounding of keyboard in frustration, I finally defeated Paypal in the Art of Shipping Overridding and Sales Tax Cancellation.

I really want to meet someone from Paypal to punch them. Right. Now.

In the meantime, donations are fixed. I promised subscription-type donations a while ago as well as auto-crediting donations so I'll work on getting both of those up soon.
