Brag time!

Yesh, I am bragging. I now own a little over 2 seconds of animation in Jura Tripper. Well.. if they were in sequence, it would be.. 46 cels right now, with a few more coming. .. If this keeps up, Maybe I'll be able to see the series frame-by-frame before I can find it to download. O_O

Hello, Zag
When this show was made the production companys were trying to save money on production costs and would use holds on the cels of 2 to 4 frames per cel so you have a few more seconds than you thought.
Production companys at this time were using 8 to 16 frames per second, They only used the 24 frames for the action scenes.
Just thought you would like to know.

At least. Anime is made notoriously cheap. Average production has what, maybe ~4000 pieces for 17-19 minutes of animation? Much of that is arms, hands, and backs of heads?

Turn your back to the camera, start the frosh philosophy lecture, pan up and down, and you have a good 5-8 seconds of animation in one cel.

Don't get me wrong, anyone who can get away with a three frame walk cycle or the shifty two-frame dramatic eyes thing more than once an episode without the audience noticing is pretty skilled.
