Cel books in the uk?

You were lucky there Dandy, I've only escaped that about a dozen times (when it's been declared at over $30)- I've also been caught for such fees around a dozen times, one of them was today! A US$70 order ended up costing me a further GBP19.95 (US$38) in 'avoidable' fees if the company just marked down the cost as I specified in my Order Comments.
Granted, I've got away with 500+ international transactions but it hurts when you caught out!

I just got ?80 of cels from Japan as well, and despite being marked at the proper yen value, they came through untainted with fees. There was a sticker on it saying it had been examined by Royal Mail, but no sign of being charged :)

I have the same problem as you. So i just resort to buying online, since it seems a bit cheaper than having to go through minutes of pure silence just because you didn't want 'A4' sized folders... >_<

I wish you the best of luck though. :) Hope you find what you need!

Happy collecting!

I received my two Itoya portfolios today, and they really are great. I was only quoted $14 for the shipping for two, but looking at the shipping price on the parcel itself, they paid $28 for the shipping. So the ebay seller deserves credit for not asking for the extra (which they could have done). I actually wonder if they made any money on them after that... (the books had a price of $15 each on them)

I emailed the seller again a while ago after I saw that they took the listing down shortly after two were purchased by yourself. They explained about the expensive shipping cost and didn't know it was going to cost that much at the time apparently, so they're charging alot more for shipping now and it doesn't work out that good price-wise anymore. Wish I bought one sooner >.< Oh well, shall try elsewhere. Congrats on the bargain XD
