Final advise needed for Framing a cel

Sorry guys,


This is my first experience in framing a cel and so many to think about. Just got the UV acrylic glazing and I have finally decided on the colors of the outer frame (Black aluminum), Outer Matte (Red) , Inner Matte (Black) and the final decision I need to make is the background color - e.g. the color that will be shown through the transparent areas of the cel.

Here is a ling to the current design with the BG color left white.

Please tell me your recommnedation for a Background color that will best suite this cel and the framing options I chose.

If you could post what the background looks like in the show I'll look and see if I have a background that is close to the one used.
I need size and colors for a better match I have thousands of backgrounds.
I can post it in the RS background gallery and you can print it yourself.

Problem is: how do I print it on a non-acid paper ? I a, afraid that the toner particles (laser color printer I have access to) will made any non-acid paper to acid.

That is why I much prefer to go with a solid color BG madd of non-acid paper.

May I give you a few options. First you could put a laser printed background in a cel bag, and then mount it behind the cel. Just make sure to have a spacer so the cel and bag won't stick. Second a matte board close to the color of the background used in the anime. Or thirdly, try something very different. The cel would look wonderful and dramatic over a gold leafed background.
