OMG Crying !! Gotta get off the cel craze last modified: Sunday, April 30, 2006 (11:33:35 PM) I lost a cel today that really upset me.
I had really wanted a cel of Ashura from RG Veda for a while and then two showed up and I managed to get one but not the one I really wanted. I was pretty sad that I lost it. Needless to say I thought long and hard about my cel addiction and decided that perhaps I need to get myself into collecting something else instead. I keep going for expensive cels and Ive really suffered because of it. Before cels, I collected anime plushies and anime lapel pins... Much cheaper !! Now, Im thinking about airline collectables.. In fact, today, I bought a few pins featuring the logos of a multitude of airlines including a few defunct carriers like PanAm and TWA. (well, PanAm is making a comeback, but technically they are still considered a defunct carrier) I also might get a few air carrier models. I dunno why but Ive really been interested in the airline industry (historically speaking) lately. I dont work for an airline and frankly wouldnt dare commit my life to it. They say airlines come and go but the airport will always be there ;-p but ummm yeah.. Im gonna go cry over losing that Ashura cel now..

I send you my condolences about your loss! I felt the exact same way when I lost a cel I really wanted. I eventually got over my frustration after a week or so. So....cheer up! You''ll find one that''s bigger and better than your wish someday! :P
Dear Heart, it''s not as if you''ll never get another chance. Don''t make yourself nuts over the loss of one cel now. There''s probably anoyther better one, cheaper, around the corner, if you just stay patient and keep your eyes open. At least, that''s what I tell myself. :)
Ignore that little perv-chan behind the curtain! You know if she''d been outbid on that Ichigo cardboard stand-up, Kleenex would be a zillion dollars richer. ^_~
I''m so sorry you lost the cel you wanted ;__; *huggles* but there''s always something better out there. Before I collected cels, there were.. UFO Plushies and trading cards etc, anime in general I guess! Now I collect pullip dolls (anime-esque dollies) =D I hope you find something better, heck I know you will!! ^__^
Actually, funny thing is, I cried the longest and loudest when I won my first Ichigo hanken. ^^ Used my Ichigo plushie as a kleenex. XD But yeah, cel collecting is definitely an emotional ride. I don''t even want to think what an emotional basket case I''d be if I hadn''t gotten the cardboard stand-up. ~_^
To have missed out on a prime cel you''ve ben looking out for is disheartening, but don''t worry because it could have been worse. You could have paid for it then it got lost/destroyed while in transit... Something I''m experiencing. If you divert your attention to other collectables, that may be another adventure! Best of luck with whatever you do.
I''m sorry about your cel :( I understand how heartbreaking and blood boiling it can be. Before I collected cels, I collected (and still do) doujinshi, CDs, manga, DVDs, that sort of thing. I''m also now into the ball-jointed doll (dollfie) craze, which in itself you''d have to get a bank loan to fund ><; |
