For Cel's Sake. last modified: Thursday, November 10, 2005 (11:45:48 PM) What have you done for a cel? What are some things you had to sacrifice or do without so you could afford to purchase a certain cel? Was there a special wishlist that came up and you did some emergency selling? Did you live off Ramen for a whole year? I want to know what some people are willing to do to get what they want! ^_^ Tell me your stories. Which cel was it and what did you do to get it?
I think the most I've done is just try to focus on one particular cel and sacrifice going after others. Trying to narrow my focus ensures I will at least get that one desired cel and it spares my bank account a little ^^; http://welcomeconsumer.com
That Naoe OP rilezu cel in my Coming Eventually section. You''ll notice I''m not doing any stained glass right now. ~_^ I spent all the Ichigo stained glass money on that rilezu. >_< It will be a couple of months until I recover from that one. ~_^ No new cels. No new stained glass. I''ll be a nutcase before long! Oh, wait. Too late! :P
I have a GREAT story and it''s only 2 words: UBER DEBT. LOL...Hoping to get out of it within 3 years ^_^;!
I sold all my X/1999 cels, and my 1 Clamp in Wonderland cel, to get my dream cel. @_@ 2 sections of my gallery... gone!
Ohhh, these are all juicy stories guys! It''s nice to see people are so committed. ^_^ Sometimes it feels we''d do just about anything to get a cel, but we obviously have our limitations and only do what we can. *sends out big time good luck vibes*
hmm never really had a"big" cel purchase but there has been a time where something came up and I had to take my cel money and use it for that plus had some unexpected bills that i needed to pay. payment was due and I scrambled in a weeks time (this was when i got paid once a month) and did every little job i could find to make extra money. and did take the ramen route till i got paid again. 10 for a $1 how else can you make money stretch so far. good thing i dont need sleep at the time i was working full time, interning in addittion. so a lot of the tasks i took one involved weird wee hour work times.

I put off having my house built for a 5 extra years to buy the whole movies I got, One more year and the house is mine,heeheeheeeheeeheehahahaha!!!!!!!!! It was worth it but living in a three bed room trailer with four kids and a wife sucks big time!!!!! O'' did I say it only has one bathroom,ARGGGGGG Beat that!
I sacrifice nothing for cels. Instead, I get my other half to buy them for me! XD |
