Gallery Spammage ...
Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch ... last modified: Sunday, November 30, 2008 (4:54:39 PM) Today is gray and cold and rainy. In short, an icky, messy day all around. And, one of those days where you just feel cold when you look out the window. It doesn't matter that you're inside your warm house with the heater going -- you still feel cold.
At least, that's how I've felt for most of the day today. Perhaps it's the rainy weather alone. Or, perhaps, it's a bit of post-holiday let-down now that Thanksgiving has come and gone. I find myself staring at the lingering remains of the family feast (Seriously, how many ways can I re-serve left-over turkey? Turkey pie ... turkey sandwiches ... turkey omelettes ... yadda, yadda, yadda) and trying to recapture the warm feelings of being with people I love. Of knowing I had friends and family near, they were all safe, and they were all dear to my heart. At the same time, Christmas looms like some big, dark beast of the future. There is a tree to put up and decorate, cards to complete and mail, gifts to purchase and wrap ... and, yes, mail. It feels a bit daunting, to say the least. So, I decided to combat my little feeling of "bleh" with a nice cup of hot chocolate and a new Christmas layout for my RS gallery. It's a day earlier than I had planned, but rainy days call for drastic measures. I'm already feeling a bit more in the spirit of "ho, ho, ho" and mistletoe. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and that the remainder of the holiday season brings lovely things for you all. *hugs*
Well, tomorrow is December. You''re only a day early on the new layout. BTW - do you mean to have the same cel of Shido twice on the front page?
True -- being a day early isn''t so bad. Having the same cel on the front page twice was semi-intentional. I did the banners at two different times, so had not originally realized I used the same cel twice. But, when I put them together, I liked it (it is one of my favorite cels of him, after all -- LOL), so I left it alone. =)
*hugs* it was rainy and crappy here in ohio too. We''re looking at more rain and snow later tonight. Anyways I think you''re new layout is great, and if you''re early on the xmas lay-out then so am I. LOL. *hugs* just wanted to send a warm hello Tex!
Love the new layout tex! I did mine yesterday,and it did help me get over the x-mas ''blahs''. ^^ And it crappy and snowy here in Mass too. >_<

I''m glad I''m not the only one jumping on the "Christmas layout" bandwagon -- although I realize I have a rather twisted view of the holiday layout, since I decided to use Nightwalker for it again this year. Ah well, vamps can have Christmas fun, too, I guess. (Or something. LOL) Your layouts both look great, too! *hugs*
I haven''t been here in ages and what did I come back for? To upload a new Christmas layout, naturally! Obviously, great minds think alike. ^_^ I always consider the day after Thanksgiving the beginning of the season anyway, so that would mean we are actually late! It was actually briefly nice outside here for a bit, then it turned BLACK and started to rain. Blah! I''m getting mint tea myself.
