Some Good News from 'cane last modified: Sunday, September 25, 2005 (11:27:26 AM) Well, some good news . . . .
My mom just called and informed me that the power has been restored in their home even though they were told that it would take a week. It is nice to know that there are people doing their jobs so efficiently out there. So, that is one good thing to look at. ^_^ They are still not letting anyone into the heavily hit areas. Apparently, they got severely flooded. :( Hopefully, it is not too bad and everyone evacuated on time.
Good! It''s terrible to be without power. No power=no refridgeration=no ice cream. Yeah, something like that. ^_^
LOL! Also, no electricity = no refrigerator = no beer! That was my dad''s biggest worry of all! j/k :P
Katrina knocked out my power for a week and it sure was hellish.. 100% humidity and 99 degree heat >.< but the Red Cross just gave us some money to replace our food, so that was nice. Rita gave us sporadic power outages but nothing major.. Of course, we just got feeder bands here on the Alabama gulf coast. but its good to hear you have power so soon ^_^ It was like that for us after Ivan last year.. We had power up almost right away. |
