Anime-fied 2

Bah, not enough room, so I broke up my entries. This is the conclusion to 'Anime-fied' 1. Enjoy.

Back on topic. My sushi partner is gonna be here soon, so I rummage through my clothes. I pull out an old 'Anime Expo' shirt. 'Naw, I wore that last time.' I pull out another shirt- 'Fanime 03' Nope. I wore that yesterday. Another baby tee that reads 'Samurai Panda.' Arg! Don't I have NORMAL clothes? I ransack another drawer and out comes a 'Dragon Ball' shirt with Gokou and gang all ripped and ready to take on the baddest of the baddies in the universe. I heave another sigh. I contemplate wearing a dress, but I don't wear dresses! o_O I am not the desperate! I open another drawer and my newest Anime Expo 05 pops out. Well, maybe ALMOST not that desperate. I settle on a red 'Shanghai Fats' baby tee. It's not Japanese, but still Asian enough to pick me out in a crowd of normies.

My sushi partner arrives and I yell a war cry since I'm not ready. I like to take my time on weekends to get ready. I run into my room to grab my iPod (full of anime songs and Jpop) and run out the door. But then I realize that I forget my keyes and run back in dropping my purse (full of anime charms). I curse under my breath as I get my keyes and grab my purse. My sushi partner gives my the raised eyebrow. I tell him to be quiet (in Japanese) and climb into the car. 'It's gonna be cold later, you might wanna get a jacket?' I shot him a nasty look and open the door. He's used to my moods and just chuckles while turning the music on. Linkin Park, no anime songs. He's partially normal.

My car had my favorite sweater so I headed to my little Toyota Corola which is nicely decorated with a dozen anime decals from all the anime I like. I greet each character with a 'Ohio!' and retrieved my jacket. I also check each sticker to make sure they aren't peeling, or worse, missing. A quick head count shows all are present and I wave good bye to them 'Ja ne, minna!' I climb back into the car and head for sushi.

I LOVE IT!!! ^_^
You write well! I was right there with ya! ~_^
I don''t have a car, but I do have a bicycle with baskets on the back, and a place for stickers.
"Got Anime?" "Addicted to manga" are just two of them. ~_^
And if you''ve been to my gallery, well, then you''ve seen my desk wallspace at work. (saynomore)

I love anime life!!! And, I used to be living right there with ''ya, too! Well, I still am, but it''s not as noticeable now, since I stay at home with my daughter. When I was a drone for CORPORATE AMERICA >_<, I definitely stood out as "not normal", since I had most of my anime action figure collection up in my office. Yep, when we got new furniture, all the other lawyers in my section were ooohing and aaaahing over how much more storage space they would have for files. I was like: "Cool! Lotsa flat space for my action figures!" But, on the up side, I had people dropping by my office all the time to say hi, just because they had heard about my collection from someone or other. And, people used to bring their kids by to see it, too. It was all good --- so long as no one touched anything. ^_~
