What are you thankful for... last modified: Monday, November 28, 2005 (3:38:19 PM) Until my recent blog controversy, I was always thankful for my family, my home, my friends, but I never realize how blessed, in fact I thought I was very unlucky recently. My dog died, my grades aren't that good regardless I have a lot of work to do. My boyfriend and I fight alot and my sister is really busy all the time so I don't have much time to talk to her. But, I have always had more food than I can eat and such. I grew up in a nice suburb and I never realized what it meant to be poor because I myself never really had money until last year, but yet I was always able to eat and such when I wanted to. My family came into money as I was growing up so we have a nice house and I was blessed with many presents.
It's sad I know, but the recent blog controversies really opened up my eyes. So this year I am thankful for many more things. I am thankful to my parents who worked very hard to be where we are at, who were also really poor when they were younger and never let that affect how they treat me. Clearly you can not be poor and buy cels, cels are a luxury item and I am very blessed to be able to purchase them.
I am thankful to Toni and Roy for letting me know how they grew up and for explaining things to me I know I am naive, but learning is an everyday process. The world is a big wondorous place so I am thankful for great rubbersluggers who take the time to educate me. I am also thankful for my great rubberslug friends and I hope that we can all get past my soup or sandwich post. I don't cutie was trying to offend anyone and I hope that we can all just get along.
We all grew up from different backgrounds, so I think it is important that we are all open minded. There are a lot of worse things out there than someone's opnions. Recently my dog passed away, lon dog also passed away, dee's dad was sick. These are not things to laugh about. All of these things are very important to each individual and instead of criticizing, we should embrace them and help that person move on.
I dont think anyone should ever hold any negative feelings towards another. I dont think anyone intentionally tries to hurt another. So let's not hold any animosity towards another and let's just all try to get along. I am thankful for life, for my family, and my friends, that means you anyone who reads this. =)
If anyone reads this and thinks this is directed towards you, please let me clarify now that I am not talking about anyone negatively. I am just stating my feelings and I take no responsibility if you think that I'm trying to offend you because I'm not. This post is to show what I am thankful for...so today instead of making someone feel bad or criticizing someone, say something nice to them, if you feel the need to respond, please feel free to do so...but keep in mind what are you thankful for?
