Rinkya sucks last modified: Sunday, July 17, 2005 (7:18:22 PM) We know no one likes hearing rants, and if you know us, you know how upset rinkya has made us. But basically, this is for all you people who have yet to sign up for a deputy service. Our recommendation is don't use Rinkya. There are many other deputy services out there, rinkya just has poor customer service. We also recommend using their webiste to look for stuff, use all their tools, but don't use their service.
Basically, we had a LOT of money we were willing to invest, but they're website doesn't update fast enough and it told us we had won and we were happy, high-fiving, and willing to pay, but later (5 min or so) it told us we had lost and someone had outbid us. How is it possible that it says we had won readjusted our totals and then tells us later that we had lost. Through this traumatic (4 dollar digit) exeperience we have decided to go ANTI-RINKYA. ~Kt + Jenny

I so agree . . . and they rip you off with the fees. I''ve tried Celga, but I didn''t like not being able to snip, I''ve tried Rinkya, though the cel I won yesterday for 1500 yen has made me want to steer clear of them--it ended up costing me close to $40--not including the EMS I''ll have to payXD. Besides, they don''t combine auctions--so I''m going to check out SMJ. It seems to me that they combine Celga''s cheaper prices and ability to combine auctions along with Rinkya''s ability to bid for yourself. A word of caution, though: I tried to sign up for them five months ago, and keep getting error messages. Nick told me it had something to do with the security on my comp. Well, I messed around severly with my security, and after trying four computers and three ISPs, it turns out my user id was too long. Long story short, don''t pick a really long one. I feel really silly now, but I''m excited about some auctions ending tomorrow morning.^-^
I''m using Celga and I didn''t have any problems yet (my package is about to be shipped!!!). Sorry to hear that... But thanks for the warning! |
