New cels last modified: Monday, January 05, 2009 (11:53:02 PM) Okay, I scanned all my new cels. Now I have to re-size and do backgrounds. I don't like to put up cels with no backgrounds, they look naked. So if they don't come with a background, I'll add one. Either my own painting or a screencap from InuYasha. So I have my work cut out for me.
Heh. I''ve always thought the same thing about poor naked cels that get scanned with nothing behind them but the scanner lid. And they also remind me a little of bugs smashed up against a windshield. I''m no artist, but even I did some simple bgs for my cels that absolutely needed them. Otherwise, I raid the local art store periodically for mats in all logical tints and scrapbooking paper, which sometimes works well, especially with comic cels. Thanks, on behalf of all your adopted paint-and-plastic companions.
I feel the same way you do about cels and backgrounds. I usually try to make my own (printable) reproductions going from the screencaps. Only problem is that its a lot of work so sometimes I just slap them on up nekkid anyways. ^_^ I''m glad you''re taking the time and effort to do proper backgrounds for them :D It makes viewing a gallery a more pleasant experience :D |
