People really suck.

For those of you who did not read my last weblog, less than two weeks ago someone stole my ipod at work (by the way, thanks for the support from those of you who commented in my last weblog *hugs*).

It has not been my day. Or week, or month for that matter. This morning, I left my dorm to go to class, and I discovered that my bike was missing. Apparently, someone went Black Friday shopping with an industrial wire cutter. >:(

I looked all over the bike racks in my complex. It's just not there. Right now, I'm dealing with police reports and the like, but we never thought to write down the serial number, so it's very unlikely that I will ever get it back.

*siiiiigh* I do not have the money to buy a new one right now. I might end up having to sell stuff to raise $100 for a new bike. ;_; I would rather not, but I need a bike.

To top things off, my professor returned the first draft of my paper to me. He basically tore it apart. >.<

On a brighter note, Perv-chan sent me a present. It's a hula dancing doll for my dash, and her name is Leilani. So, Perv-chan does not suck. XD

That''s terrible! I can''t believe someone would be so cruel and contemptible. Especially to you, of all people. You''re so kind. You don''t deserve that kind of treatment. I sincerely hope you can get your bike back or perhaps get a new one for a reasonable price.

Don''t lose hope in humanity. I''m sure something will happen to make up for this streak of bad luck. As for the rough draft, just take the prof''s commentary into account when you write the final draft. Look closely at his/her suggestions and meditate on how it can improve/strengthen your thesis. A poor rough draft is usually the precursor to a fabulous final draft, so don''t give up.

yikes, police reports?? well, i hope it all works out... sometimes bad things happen to good people... *hugs* at least it was a *first draft* that was returned to you! i''m sure the final draft will be an A+! ^_^

Conri

That bites, sorry to hear that! Maybe you could try looking for a used bike? I got a bike for uni at a garage sale for $20...it looked a bit worn (read: less appealing to thieves) and the tires had to be replaced, but otherwise it worked decently. With some luck, you might be able to find one in better shape...

You can try to look at the first draft of the paper this way...if your professor took that much time to tear apart your paper, it means he felt you were worth his time. I''m sure your next draft/final draft will be all the better for it. Good luck!

Sorry to hear it Xl. Hopefully you''ll get your bike back as well as your ipod. The sad things that people do, the worst part of it is the people who took these items probably had no real need for either, very sorry this happened to you *hugs*.

kymaera

Hmm...first the ipod, then the bike. This is beginning to look a bit suspicious. So, it must be asked: Are they being stolen or being pawned? Are you on the crack? *peers at klet*

And yes, kira, I have a bike that I won''t be able to use in the near future that I''ve offered her.

Wow. Thanks for all the support, guys! ;_; Okay, now I''m crying for a different reason. *sniff*

Yep, kira, kymaera called me a while ago and offered to give me his bike for an indefinate period of time. Then he wondered why I started giggling (I had read your comment before he called).

Tex, may I borrow the Fwaping Brick? I''ve already decided to stay perched near the window and pounce on anyone suspicious near the bike racks . . . from the third story window. XD I can do some Fwaping, too, if you''ll just hold ''em down. ^_^

Thanks for the support, everyone (and Conri for the tips ^_~)! I ate some good food and am starting to feel better. Now I just need to get a good night''s sleep. We''ll see if I can manage that or not. XD

*Fwaps kymaera*
(I can''t believe you actually read this. :P)

Oh, and Perv-chan . . . *glomps* Say whatever you want! Wait . . . giving you that much power might be dangerous . . . XD
