Okay, It's Official last modified: Wednesday, November 15, 2006 (6:45:20 PM) People suck.
No, really, they do. My Ipod got stolen at work today. It was kind of my fault for leaving it on the desk where anyone could see it, but I'm still really upset about it. It wasn't that nice a piece of equipment, either. It was well over a year old, and dirty and scratched up from use. It has a bad battery that says it's out of charge when it really isn't, and then remembers it has some charge left a few hours later. But I liked it! ;_; I guess I just was wondering what this world is coming to when someone feels the need to steal a beat-up Ipod from a student. The office I work in is pretty nice, too. Anyone working there could afford better than my piece of crap. The office is situated out of the way, has about three employees, and other professionals who pop in and out every so often. Not many students come through at all. If there were more students, this turn of events would not shock me as much as it did and would not upset me in the way that it has (I would be upset in an entirely different way ^_^). Before the thing went missing, I was away from my desk for all of ten minutes--if that. I honestly don't need this right now. I've got a twelve page paper and a story I need to have done for Monday and a Spanish presentation for Tuesday. I'm stressed, to say the least. I am seriously hoping that I'm just being a ditz, like usual. Maybe I'll walk into work tomorrow and the stupid thing will be sitting next to my computer because I was an idiot and did not look properly. Heck, I was half hoping that I would come home and find it hooked up to my computer. I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow. But for now, people suck. Now I've got to go start some research, though I don't know how much I can get done in my frame of mind.

I hope it turns up in your desk drawer or something. *hugs* I know about the old ipod luv. I''ve got one that''s closer to two years old, and it''s pretty beat up too. But like you, I love it! It''s my little ipod - even though it''s not working right now. <.< XD
It only takes one person without brains or morals to cause one to become quite cynical. What would cause someone to do something like that is unknown. When I worked at the MB dealer in Beverly Hills we once caught a guy worth millions on a survelence tape reaching across our parts counter to grab and walk off with a coat worth $300 , of course ather being confronted with the tape he paid for it then got into his $140K car.

Awww, man, that''s terrible! I can''t believe someone would do that to you. =( I hope you can get a replacement, maybe for Christmas? because it sucks to be without music. Don''t give up on humanity yet, you know there''s tons of great people out there. Especially in the cel community ;) Good luck and I wish you the best.
aw, that''s really awful. i''ve had things get stolen before, and it''s disheartening... but i''ve also lost things that i *thought* were may stolen... so hopefully it is just misplaced afterall! either way, good luck on those papers... i know you''ll do well ^^ |
