Verbosity

Wrapping Up
last modified: Sunday, December 25, 2005 (12:12:23 AM)
Well, it's Christmas Eve, and we've already opened the traditional one-present-on-Christmas-Eve. Right now, some of the older kids are helping set out the presents from Santa. Personally, I've had enough wrapping to last me a lifetime. :x

I had to be at work at 5:30 this morning. I was supposed to get off work at 2:30, but I was there until about 3:50. Needless to say, I'm a little tired. I think that if I attempted to count the number of presents I've wrapped today at work alone, I might go insane. There were so many people doing last minute shopping today. Some were polite, but others were downright rude. One man even yelled at us to hurry up and wrap his stuff, because he had three more stores to go to today. So, how is that our fault? Maybe you should have done your Christmas shopping earlier. :P

My favorite people were those who came in and bought an obscene amount of gift cards. Christmas shopping, completed in five minutes. ^_^

I personally finished my Christmas shopping yesterday. That's right--I'm on top of things. Heh. I even finally picked out a present for a certain crotchety old man. Don't worry, I'm almost 100% positive that I'm safe mentioning that here. Considering how often he looks at galleries, I very much doubt he reads these things. Though I can completely see him reading it this one time just to be contrary. <.< >.> Shhhh. Don't tell. Now, my only worry is that we seem to be out of egg noodles at the moment . . . ahem. Before Perv-chan asks, no, it's not lingerie, a glass sex toy, or any other nookie producing/aiding device. :P Look! I'm using the new vocabulary I learned last week! Which reminds me . . . I really need to email Perv-kun. Maybe I'll get around to that next week.

Now, if the previous paragraph confused you, don't worry. Far too many inside jokes in there to count. ^_^

I should get back to the Christmas festivities real soon. I've got digital Christmas cards to make, and I'm trying really hard to convince my autistic brother that the new stove is my Christmas present, rather than my mother's. He's not buying it at the moment. :( In fact, right now he's reading Yugioh. "Episode 55: The Bewitching Mai. Next on the Japanese Channel." Everytime he gets to a new chapter, I hear a little announcement. Sometimes, he really cracks me up. ^_^

Merry Christmas!
Happy Hanekka!
Happy Kwanza!
Or, at the very least, enjoy the day off. ^_~

Maybe I'll have enough energy tomorrow for a special Christmas update. This is the longest I've ever had new cels without updating . . .

Heh. Apparently, code doesn''t work in the weblogs . . . I was trying to put some of those words in italics . . . and I forgot to spell check. Oh, well. ^_^

Meery Christmas! Yes, wrapping IS a pain in a neck, my mother just throws everything into gift bags to avaoid it but I had finally gotten the hang of it after five years of frustration so I tackled it like a project.

I hope you had a GREAT day full of family, fun and presents! I hope you have a great rest of the year!
