Lions and Tigers and Bears

Or something like that. I've got so much to write about, but no idea where to start.

Hmmm . . . let's start with cels. As of tonight, I have everything up. But, I also have a package waiting for me on the north side of campus, so . . . Anyway, tonight I put up two cels that I was really excited to get. They were the cels I wrote about a couple of weblogs ago. So go check out Escaflowne and Ranma. ^_^ By the way, Leah knows me too well, since she guessed that one of the cels was Ryouga, and well--just go look!

I've been so busy the past couple weeks. Midterm time is officially over, but I got away without having to take any midterms. I just had ordinary tests and papers--which aren't any better. In less than a week, I had a Japanese test, a Spanish test, and two Spanish papers. One of those papers was on poetry, which I have a hard enough time with in English. Don't get me wrong, I always do very well when I write papers on poetry, I just have a very fuzzy understanding of the stuff, and often feel that I'm just making shots in the dark when I attempt to interpret it. Maybe that's just the way poetry works. Anyway, one of the papers was on a couple of poems in Spanish that have a lot of Japanese influence. I got a 99%, and my professor even congratulated me and one other classmate in front of the entire class. I felt kind of bad, since I wrote the thing in about five hours, and I really thought that the last point I made was just bs.

In other news, I got a new roommate. *sniff* I had my own room for about a week. The Friday after the first roommate moved out, I got a call from ResLife, and my new roommate showed up about fifteen minutes after the phone call. 0.o Talk about moving fast!! Apparently, she had moved into a room across the hall, but wasn't getting along too well with her roomie. So they stuck her with me. That Sunday, I helped her move her stuff from room to room. When she came in, the screensaver on my laptop was running all sorts of anime pics. She practically squealed in excitement. Apparently, she's an anime junkie, too. She's got a thing for Weiss Kreuz. So I might end up watching it sometime soon. My exact words to her were, "That's the one with the flower boys, right?" But she hasn't been sucked in as much as the majority of you guys. Some friends that she has in Finland have really gotten into Naruto, and the other night she asked me, "So have you heard of this . . . Na . . .ru . . . to?" Yes, silly girl.

We get along pretty well, though. She doesn't get up nearly as early, and she's quiet when she does get up. She also doesn't stay up much longer than I do, or use my microwave while I'm asleep. Plus, I think we've talked more in the couple of weeks that she's been here than both of my prior roommates combined. No naked boyfriends yet, either (sorry Leah).

So, Star Wars came out on DVD today. There was a showing of it right outside my dorm. On my way back from scanning my two new cels, I saw a guy wearing a Jedi robe heading to the showing. He was heading from the dorms on the north side of campus. Poor boy. They probably eat him alive up there. But, the best part is that they were giving away free pizza at the showing. My roomie and I went down. You had to get a ticket by showing your student id or room key. "Are you here for the show?" "Ummm, yeah." <.< >.> Then we grabbed some free pizza and headed back to our room. ^_^ There were jedi robes and light sabers everywhere. Honestly, there was a reason this showing was held in the middle of the honors dorms. The university doesn't need a bunch of nerds getting beat up by the drunken guys that populate the other dorms.

Wow! What a massive update! I looooove the new Ryoga cel. He''s so cute >_< The Escaflowne cels are gorgeous too! Geez, sounds like you''re swamped with work and life. I always write papers the same way too, and usually receive a better grade than I truly deserve. It''s funny how teachers don''t catch on quite like they claim. Hope you''re gearing up for Thanksgiving break. ^_~ Mmmmm pizza and Jedi robes, heehee!

WOW! Life has sure been super busy for ''ya lately! But, at least a holiday is just around the corner. That''s something good. Congrats on the update. I love the Ranma cel, and the Escaflowne additions are beautiful. Your Esca section rocks!!! Sounds like things are going to be OK with the new roomie. That''s always a relief. If she loves my Weiss boyz she can''t be all bad. (Well ... not all the boys are mine. Just Aya ... and Yohji.) *looks into bish closet* Yep. They''re still tied up in there. Aya is pretty ticked off, too. But, Yohji ... is kinda liking the whole tied up thing, I think. Bad kitty! ^_^

Oh I REALLY like all of your new Escaflowne cels, kelt! Especially all of the great Hitomi ones! It''s a relief to hear that you finally have a decent roommate! She sounds pretty cool too, it''s a good thing that she likes anime! I hope you continue to have good things going for you!
