Cels Hidden last modified: Tuesday, April 12, 2005 (12:43:59 AM) Okay before anyone goes off the deap end let me explain.
1) I have spent in the last few weeks more time than anyone should on my gallery - results on worth the effort 2) Michel and I spent over a week on a cel hunt in hopes of bring back the "fun" to the Sailor Moon community. For years it has been a mess due to problems that started about 3 years back. I had myself then stopped collecting and never want to get into that shit again. So we thought this would be great, fun, and would bring people together a bit like some of the other cel communities. - Result... basically one person submitted something (thanks Rachelle! You made our days!) 3) And this is NOT aimed at SME only because I have been hearing this from over a DONZEN sources including, and MOSTLY people I don't talk to... but years back people used to talk about closing their galleries because the hobby wasn't fun anymore. I guess to that I just need to say that you cannot let other rule for you. Its sad because in the end, these people have won, and you let them. Why let them win? Why give them the satifaction that they got to you? Just tell them to fuck off and smile doing so. Its the internet. Have fun in life, think of the good and positive things life is offering you. 4) And lastly I am by no means closing my gallery. Just got sick of hearing about these people, and if they are out there, I don't want to deal with them. Cels are only displayed here and you need a password to view them. I will be updating here with new cels as they come in, but once again you will need a password to view them. 5) When will galleries be back online? Don't know, whenever I start to see a come around in this community maybe, maybe when I feel the results of working are are rewarded or just recongized? BUT.... Michel and I are both going to be comining our websites and making a special gallery for the SUMMER only called: "Flashes from the Millennium" There will be a limited number of cels and most of them you all haven't seen yet... so look for it. I have huge wishlist that I will be adding. till then. -nn and once again this is not directed towards SME(who I have found to be one of the most help people in the community) just a generlization.
Sorry to hear. I have the same shitty problems with people, and I''ll agree. The friendliness of the community since I began collecting 11 years ago has declined greatly since then. I think as cels get rarer and rarer to find...People will only get meaner to get them -_-! "You have my gratitude." (LOL...Ever seen the Last dragon parody in "Kentucky Fried Movie?!)
I happen to agree with you as well. Ive only been collecting almost a year..It hasnt even been a year yet. Since I started ive seen things go down hill. Such as people calling other people Bitches on there websites for trying to outbid them on a cel. To people getting mad when you sell a cel to the first buyer and not waiting for them. I wanted to play in your game and even help out if I could but I had a family member that ended up in the hospital in a comma so I didnt have them time to play. I really was in hopes youd do another one. I also cant wait to see your new update. If youd please give me your password. Ive also been thinking about locking down my gallery because of a few things that have happen to me, an not updating as much. I love my cels and im here to collect what I want. I also think you have some very nice cels. I cant wait to see your wishlist cel :) Keep up the good work. Dont let people get you down or push you around. Take charge and in the end youll be the one on top
I have said this before in SME''s weblog. There are still a lot of cel collectors out there that do enjoy this hobby and are totally opposite of the people you are describing. Sadly, by hiding your cels you only play into their hands, but of course, it''s your decision. If you keep displaying them you''ll let them know they don''t bother you and you don''t care what they say. I hope you can find the joy in cel collecting back again, because there are still a lot of us out there that love to go through other people''s galleries and admire the art work ^_^ Take care, Wendy ^_^(CHX Cel Gallery)
