Sometimes Ebay just ticks me off......or at least the people on it
last modified: Wednesday, March 13, 2013 (10:18:30 AM)
A month ago I was wanting to buy 6 cels on ebay and I only had enough money to purchase 4 of them so I let the other two go (as sad as it was because they were really nice cels). They had a buy it now price of $99 each and sold on the last day of Auction. I have since been looking tirelessly for both of them in the same sequece and unable to find them until today. The original buyer from ebay relisted them for.........wait for it.....$ 299 each!!!! WTF!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Makes me want to burn the internet to the ground.

Ah yes, I think I may know of the person whom you refer to. You''re not alone in thinking that what this person is doing is despicable. My advice is to not buy anything from them, ever. Eventually they''ll get the idea that it''s not profitable to engage in such behavior.

that is really annoying for a collector, but its not ebay''s fault, the one with the most money wins, or gets to call the shots, it might not be right from a collectors perspective but its the way money works....and makes more money. I think we''ve all had similar experiences in this area, just enjoy the ones you got and move on, things have a way of turning up again.

It''s annoying that this is becoming a thing and not just with Ebay, though that''s where everything seems to end up. I''ve personally lost a few items I was bidding on, on Y!J, in the last 2 months that have since re-appeared on Ebay at 3times the price. -_- Happens regularly with Mandarake auctions as well, always the same couple of Ebay sellers. I am at the point where I agree with Cutiebunny, in that I''d hope people that know just don''t purchase things from them. It''s really depressing seeing something you legitimately wanted get picked up by someone that doesn''t care and just throws it up to waste away on Ebay for months, if not years.

I do agree with Tegga that it''s the buyer''s choice to do what they want with an item they paid for, but as a collector it''s still aggravating as heck to see a re-list happen so I also agree with everyone else''s frustrations. I''ve also noticed some "re-list" people putting stuff up on ebay, and it''s kills me that I missed a few 1000 yen cels on Y!J from some scenes I really liked only to see them pop up on ebay for $100 or more each. I always hate coming upon those re-listed cels in my searches and have to skip through the images quickly, knowing they''re just dollar signs and nothing more for someone else. :(

(It''s even more annoying when those "cheap" wins on Y!J are put on ebay with an absurd price tag that isn''t even equal to what the cel would cost on the ebay market...)

I''ve seen ebay sellers getting their stuff from fellow collectors on offer period as well as midori and then turn to ebay. can''t really understand what they''re doing since it prably would tick off collectors and ebay buyers, I''d be interested to know their secret on how to keep the business alive.
