I got my work cut out for me ^_^; last modified: Wednesday, May 10, 2006 (1:21:19 AM) Whew! I just finished perusing over many of the fine galleries here and I'm impressed. Of course, I searched for fellow GR collectors and I was blown away <I>(and a little jealous)</I> by everyone's collections. Sorta makes me embarrassed to go through my meager collection...but don't worry, I'll keep scanning. It's just overwhelming to look at my pile yet only have 3 cels in my gallery. Sure would have been easier to scan as they were accquired...hindsight as they say...It'll be worth it when it's all done, I'm sure.

Scanning is definitely one the hardest parts of this hobby. It never gets easier but it does becoming more satisfying. Take your time and enjoy yourself!
Take it a little at a time! Small batches that don''t make your eyes water. ~_^ You''ve got a great start so far! I love the layout you''ve got, and "shizuma inside"? Funnny! XD Just remember it will all be very worth it when you''re done! ^_^ Hang in there! Oh, and welcome to rubberslug! ^^
Scanning is tough! I have a pile of 140+ sketches just from a single sequence, and I have no idea where I''m going to find the motivation to get through them all. But take a few at a time, and you''ll finish eventually. Then, other people will surely be impressed by your collection. I haven''t seen Giant Robo, but that set of Model Sheets is nice. *thumbs up*
Thanks everyone for the encouragement! I guess when you do a lot of scanning is part of your day job, doing in your off-hours is less fun, but more gratifiying, I''m sure... "Slow and steady...", as they say. Oh, I love my model sheets (200+)! The art of GR is a huge part of my attraction for the series. I was disappointed when the new manga got scrapped after only one chapter saw print...
I didn''t want to open my gallery with the first few cels I had, I kept collecting for another six years before I opened it. Still, it doesn''t seem to matter here, there are people put whatever they want in they''re galleries. Peace man
It took me a while to open my gallery too.. In fact, when I opened mine, I only had five cels, one of which being my very first cel of all my cels in all series: Genya and Ginrei |
