really? That seems like 80% of all blog entries.
Doesn''t bother me at all. I''d sooner hear about someone maybe thinking of parting with a cel/sketch I''ve been lusting after, rather than hear tons of non-cel-related endless gripes about life and the universe (aside from notices of getting married, getting a house, etc. It''s nice to know people in fandom are getting the good things in life!). Just like with TV and radio - if you''re not interested, switch to another blogchannel! After all, general discussions are in the forums already. Aren''t blogs here, in their trendy but redundant way, a place for a gallery person to make announcements they feel are important?
Perhaps, but the rules are NO sales/offers in blogs. It really is simple, everyone needs to READ the rules and follow them. Not just that either mahoro, but most don''t even take advantage of RS''s Shop, where you can post your cels for sale. Blogs mentioning that are completely fine, since RS allows those types of transactions. However, if you haven''t noticed, a lot of blogs are sales and it''s usually the same people. I enjoy reading entries by other RS members about their life and other things they blog about, because I feel I can get to know them better. However, how are you supposed to get to know someone by reading tons of sale posts that aren''t supposed to be mentioned in the blogs anyway (unless they are in the shop). I too did this in the beginning, but quickly resorted to the RS shop and Anime-beta for posting sales. But as Cotton''s parrot has said, "walk the plank!"

SME if people do not use the RS sale shop that is their decision, it is there and a resource. However, as Jason has repeatedly requested and E has explicitly instructed us no sales in blogs. Ignorance of the rules is no excuse. I doubt any of the mods or Jason are being hardnosed about this, but this all boils down to the fact most of us use RS freely, I do not think it is unreasonable for us to comply with the requests of the creator. The words NO sales in blogs IMO covers also not mentioning there is a sale as well. We have a entire dedicated forum for sales, why some people elect not to use it is beyond me. |
