Anybody else have this problem?
last modified: Sunday, October 14, 2007 (10:27:39 PM)
Okay, I've been collecting cels for quite some time now and have figured out that the things I was in love with five years ago, now, not so much. I'd like to sell off the ones that I'm not longer enamored with but I want them to go to good homes and not just get posted back onto ebay or something. Anybody else have this problem? Just wondering.

I just think that means you''ve grown more as a collector. You''re more selective now, and perhaps even have found a specific/distinctive type of art you appreciate the most. Nothing wrong with that. You could always ask those people you know and associate with first, or other collectors on rubberslug that seem to collect the same series that you do. That way, you can know the home they are going to and know they will be appreciated. As long as they collect the series and state they are looking for that series in their wishlists, I think its a pretty safe bet they''d appreciate a heads up. I know I would lol. Most of the stuff I have though, with the exception of very few cels, have been things that enchanted me from the get go. So, I really haven''t had too much of a problem with that. The stuff I did have though, I posted on a cel community first. I also tried to find homes for sketches that I had with the owners of the matching cel. Unfortunately it didn''t work out either because they were on a hiatus, or had just made a big purchase.

Hope that helped :D
