It's a baby! last modified: Tuesday, November 06, 2007 (7:16:35 AM) I talked about this on my main blog, but I'm just so excited about it, it warrants further bloggage.
Yesterday I had my second doctor's appointment and I got to hear the baby's heartbeat. It was probably the most surreal experience I've ever had, and I'm just really sad that Shawn couldn't be there to hear it. It was probably also the most reassuring sound I've ever heard as well. So nice to know that something is actually growing in there, and I'm not nauseous all day for nothing. Still don't know the gender, but I have confirmation that it is a baby. ^_^
It is a beautiful sound that little heartbeat. Congratulations! Sonograms are a real kick too. Amnio - not so much. Now when will those cravings kick in?
Congratulations! It''s a very beautiful sound to hear a babies heartbeat and also seeing pictures of the baby while inside. Amazing!! I have two kids that are now teenagers, but I still remember it like it was yesterday. ^_^ Congrats again!

Thanks everyone! I actually am going to find out the sex of the baby. It''s still a surprise, just one I''m finding out four months sooner. ^_^ And Wendy, I don''t know what it is about you and Cindy thinking I''ll name my kid horrible names. She told me not to name it Sephiroth. I can''t tell if you guys have no faith in me or want to quash any fun I''ll have in scaring my husband. ~_^ No cravings yet, birdie, although I hope I don''t have any as awful as yours.
No, you''re going to name him Sasuke. ^_~ Or possibly Riku. That would work for a girl too. ^_^ Can you hear the evil laughter? :P

YAY! How exciting and wonderful, Baylor! I didn''t know you were going to have a baby. Congratulations!! And don''t tell anyone the names you are considering for your new baby... People (not us people, but OTHER people! hee!) might criticize your choices beforehand, but if you have already given the name to your precious little one, people usually won''t knock the name (to your face anyway! haha!). My kids have rather unusual names, so I know first-hand on that one. ^_^ I thought that picking a name was one of the toughest parts about having a baby! But whether you name the cutie "Sesshamaru" or "Bob", the name will seem to fit perfectly within the first week you use it. I''m so happy for you! Shellster!! *glomps* Actually one of my best friends is pregnant right now, and she''s not telling anyone the name she has chosen for her daughter. I thought that was the best idea in case I change my name (as I am prone to do) hundreds of times before the little one is born. I also did think of people trying to talk me out of names *coughcoughfamilycoughcough* so your advice really strikes home that I''ve made the right decision. Shawn and I have names picked out for either sex, and mum''s the word until the big day. Thanks so much, SME! I will definitely keep blogging about how it''s going. It''s a first pregnancy for me, so every little thing is a new experience. ^_^
